Watchmaking Context

Founded in 1874 in La Côte-aux-Fées, in the Neuchâtel Jura, by Georges Piaget, the company first supplied movements before signing its own watches under its name in the mid-20th century. Piaget became a specialist in ultra-thin watches: in 1957, the 9P caliber was released, manual-winding and two millimeters thick; in 1960, it was succeeded by the 12P automatic with micro-rotor, then the thinnest in the world at 2.3 mm. This mastery freed designers, who multiplied dress and jewelry watches in precious metals — hard stone dials, Clous de Paris bezels, extremely thin cases. The automatic date version, like this reference, is a sober expression of this.

Personality

The pinnacle of masculine elegance, this extra-thin dress watch adorned with a white gold Clous de Paris bezel that catches the light, contrasting with the off-white dial. Minimalism of the dial, with delicate stick indexes and hands, reinforced by the thinness of the case.

Serviced watch. Very good condition. Delivered with the brand's box and the 24-month Contre-Temps warranty certificate.
