Watchmaking Context

Founded in 1860 in Sonvilier, in the Swiss Jura, by Louis-Ulysse Chopard, the company came under the direction of the Scheufele family in 1963, who gave it its contemporary impetus: jewelry, Happy Diamonds watches, and a movement manufacture in Fleurier. Chopard has long maintained a connection with classic motorsport — partner and official timekeeper of the Mille Miglia since 1988, then of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique since 2002. This latter race, held every two years on the Formula 1 circuit, brings together single-seaters and GTs from the 1930s to the 1970s. In addition to the commemorative chronographs issued for each race, Chopard offers a Classic Racing series collection, with a sporty inspiration — dashboards, tachymeter bezel, track color code — to which this chronograph belongs.

Personality

True to the codes of motor racing — black, steel, and orange — it presents its digital display window as a dashboard instrument, which can be turned off to retain only the analog display.

Watch serviced. Very good condition. Delivered with its original steel bracelet in addition to the mounted textile bracelet, in the Contre-Temps box and with the 24-month Contre-Temps warranty certificate.
