Selection of Rolex Oyster Precision, Oysterdate Precision, Oyster Perpetual and Oyster Perpetual Date watches from the 1970s, in steel. Oyster case 34 mm, screw-down signed crown, plexiglas crystal. Custom dials in a range of colours. Available with leather strap, NATO strap, or Rolex Oyster steel bracelet as an option.

Horological context

The Oyster was introduced by Rolex in 1926 — the first water-resistant watch case with a screw-down crown, defining the architecture of every Rolex line to follow. Two branches develop from this foundation, distinguished by the movement: the Precision line, manual-winding, and the Perpetual line, automatic. The word Precision carries a double meaning in Rolex nomenclature: it indicates a manual-winding movement, and the absence of COSC chronometer certification — by contrast with the Officially Certified Chronometer or Superlative Chronometer markings. Steel Oyster case, 34 mm, 50-metre water resistance. Ref. 6694 and Ref. 6494 (Oysterdate Precision) feature a date aperture at 3 o'clock, Ref. 6426 carries a no-date dial; the Oyster Perpetual and Oyster Perpetual Date branches express the same codes in automatic movement. Manual calibres 1210 or 1225 for the Precision references with date, automatic calibres 1560 through 1575 for the Perpetual.

Character

For the pleasure of changing often: dials in a range of colours — pink, yellow, green, blue, ochre, red, salmon — post-production modifications performed in our workshop. Available on leather, NATO, or steel Oyster bracelet, allowing the character of the piece to be tuned to everyday wear. The standard factory dial remains available on request.
